SC: Failure to Sign Charge Sheet Doesn’t Invalidate Trial if Charges Were Properly Read to Accused - (27 Mar 2026)

CRIMINAL

Supreme Court held that absence of a signature on the charge-framing order sheet is a curable procedural defect and does not invalidate the trial, especially when the accused was properly informed of, and clearly understood, the charges framed against them.
