Supreme Court Rejects Sameer Wankhede’s Plea, Directs Timely Resolution of Disciplinary Proceedings - (26 Mar 2026)

Supreme Court refused to overturn the Delhi High Court’s revival of disciplinary proceedings against IRS officer Sameer Wankhede, noting that the Inquiry and Presenting Officers were appointed without giving him adequate opportunity to respond to the chargesheet, and directed a time-bound decision.
