SC Flags Systemic Bias in Granting Permanent Commission to Women Officers in Armed Forces - (25 Mar 2026)

DEFENCE

Supreme Court found that systemic bias in the Armed Forces has resulted in denial of permanent commission to many women officers, as career evaluations relied on presumptions that unfairly hindered their progression in the Army, Navy, and Air Force.
