SC: Reserved Candidates Can Claim General Seats on Merit with Relaxation if Rules Allow - (24 Mar 2026)

Supreme Court held that reserved category candidates who use relaxation in qualifying exams may still be considered for general category posts if they achieve higher merit in the final selection, provided the applicable recruitment rules allow such consideration.
