SC: SAIL Can Withhold Gratuity to Adjust Penal Rent if Ex-Employees Illegally Retain Quarters - (19 Mar 2026)

Supreme Court ruled that SAIL can withhold gratuity and adjust penal rent from retired employees who illegally retain company quarters, affirming its powers under Rule 3.2.1(c) of the Gratuity Rules and setting aside the Jharkhand High Court’s contrary directions.
