SC: Doctor’s View on a Victim’s Consciousness Prevails over Police Assessment in Dying Declarations - (18 Mar 2026)

CRIMINAL

Supreme Court upheld a husband’s conviction for murdering his wife, relying on her dying declaration, and held that minor discrepancies in the investigating officer’s statements do not undermine it when a doctor has certified the victim was in a fit state of mind.
