Supreme Court: Air Force Group Insurance Society qualifies as ‘State’ under Article 12 - (17 Mar 2026)

Supreme Court recently ruled that the Air Force Group Insurance Society (AFGIS), which serves as a welfare and insurance body for Indian Air Force personnel, qualifies as ‘State’ under Article 12 of the Constitution, making it subject to constitutional obligations.
