SC: Giving Accused the Option of Search Before a Police Officer Breaches Section 50 of the NDPS Act - (17 Mar 2026)

Supreme Court upheld acquittal in an NDPS case, holding that offering the accused the option of search before a police officer violates Section 50, which permits personal search only before a Magistrate or Gazetted Officer, rendering the recovery invalid.
