ITAT Quashes Reassessment of Lalit Modi’s Income Linked to Credit Card and Private Jet Expenditures - (09 Mar 2026)

DIRECT TAXATION

Income Tax Appellate Tribunal (ITAT) quashed the reassessment of Lalit Kumar Modi’s income for AY 2010–11, ruling that the proceedings by the Income Tax Department were without jurisdiction as regular scrutiny assessment was still pending.
