Orissa HC: 60-Day Disposal of DV Act Plea May Not be Practical but Long Adjournments Must be Avoided - (05 Mar 2026)

Orissa HC observed that although it may not always be practical for a Magistrate to decide an application u/s 12(1) of the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act within the statutory 60-day period, courts must avoid granting unnecessary or prolonged adjournments to the parties.
