SC: Once Unlawful Assembly is Proved U/S 149 IPC, Individual Role in Fatal Injury is Irrelevant - (25 Feb 2026)

CRIMINAL

SC held that once unlawful assembly is proved, individual identification of the person causing the fatal injury is immaterial, making all members vicariously liable, and set aside the MP HC ruling that reduced the conviction from murder to culpable homicide for want of such identification.
