Gujarat HC: Unregistered Nikahnama or Missing Records Cannot Bar a Widow From Claiming Pension - (25 Feb 2026)

Gujarat High Court held that denying a widow's pension due to an unregistered nikahnama, absence of marriage photos, or missing service record entries is unjust, and directed the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation to grant her pension as the legally wedded wife.
