Supreme Court: Landowners Are Not Liable For Delays Caused by Developers - (24 Feb 2026)

CONSUMER

SC held that a landowner does not become liable for construction delays merely by authorizing a developer to build, obtain approvals, and sell flats, and it dismissed a homebuyer’s appeal while upholding the National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission ruling absolving the landowners.
