Supreme Court: Insurer Not Liable For Penalty on Employer Over Delayed Compensation - (24 Feb 2026)

Supreme Court held that an employer’s liability to pay a penalty for delayed compensation cannot be shifted to the insurer, and set aside the Delhi High Court order that fastened such liability on New India Assurance Co. Ltd.
