SC: Quasi-Judicial Authorities Cannot Exercise Review Powers Unless Expressly Granted By Statute - (09 Feb 2026)

Supreme Court ruled that quasi-judicial authorities cannot exercise review powers without statutory authorization, setting aside a Calcutta High Court judgment and holding that vesting disputed land in favour of the respondent on a minister’s instructions was impermissible.
