Supreme Court: Temple Trust Does Not Qualify as an ‘Industry’ under the Industrial Disputes Act - (03 Feb 2026)

The court observed that “the respondent-Trust is a temple and as such, it would not fall within the four corners of the expression “industry”.” The court upheld the termination of its accountant despite no formal inquiry and over twelve years of service.
