Kerala HC: Telling Someone to "Go Away And Die" in Anger Does Not Amount to Abetment of Suicide - (29 Jan 2026)

Kerala High Court reiterated that casual or angry remarks made during a quarrel, without the necessary intent or mens rea, do not amount to abetment of suicide under Section 306 of the IPC, emphasizing that mere words in anger cannot be construed as criminally culpable.
