Supreme Court: Confession Without Corroboration Cannot Form the Basis of Conviction - (28 Jan 2026)

Supreme Court set aside a murder conviction after holding that it was founded solely on uncorroborated confessional statements recorded by a magistrate, which were made by the accused in the absence of legal aid.
