SC: Higher Land Acquisition Compensation to Some Owners Cannot Invalidate Awards to Others - (28 Jan 2026)

LAND ACQUISITION

Supreme Court held that excessive compensation paid to some beneficiaries in collusion with officials does not invalidate compensation granted to others, while hearing an appeal against a Chhattisgarh High Court ruling that had set aside the appellant’s land acquisition award on that ground.
