Supreme Court to NCLT : Limit Power to Decide Intellectual Property Title Disputes under IBC - (23 Jan 2026)

INSOLVENCY

Supreme Court ruled that NCLT, while acting under Section 60(5) of the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code (IBC), has limited jurisdiction and cannot decide disputed questions of intellectual property ownership when such issues fall outside or go beyond the scope of an approved resolution plan
