Supreme Court: Wait-Listed Candidates Have No Vested Right After List Expiry - (20 Jan 2026)

Supreme Court held that in matters of public employment, candidates placed on a waiting list do not gain any vested or automatic right to appointment after the statutory period of validity of the waiting list has expired.
