SC: Contracts to Hire Global Speakers For Media Summits are Not Taxable as Event Management Services - (19 Jan 2026)

SERVICE TAX

Granting major relief to media and event organizers, the Supreme Court held that fees paid to high-profile speakers through international booking agencies are not liable to Service Tax under the category of “Event Management Service.”
