Patna HC: Disciplinary Authority Cannot Impose Major and Minor Penalties in a Single Order - (16 Jan 2026)

Patna High Court held that major and minor penalties cannot be combined into a single order and imposed simultaneously, while hearing a writ petition by a Deputy SP challenging an order imposing both withholding of five increments and a five-year promotion ban.
