Karnataka HC: Appeals Against Acquittal in Bailable Offences Lie Only Before High Court - (16 Jan 2026)

Karnataka High Court set aside a Sessions Court conviction for causing death by negligence, holding that the State wrongly appealed an acquittal before the Sessions Court, which lacked jurisdiction to entertain appeals against acquittal.
