Allahabad HC: Will in Favor of Someone Does Not Affect Compassionate Appointment Based on Dependency - (14 Jan 2026)

SERVICE

Allahabad High Court held that under the U.P. Recruitment of Dependents of Government Servants Dying-in-Harness Rules, 1974, compassionate appointments are based on the family member’s dependence on the deceased, and a will in favor of any person does not affect eligibility.
