Gujarat HC: Motor Accident Compensation Doesn’t Cover Medical Expenses Paid by Charity - (12 Jan 2026)

Gujarat High Court recently observed, while hearing a plea to enhance compensation for the kin of a deceased accident victim, that amounts awarded under the Motor Vehicles Act are not a "bonanza or jackpot" and should reflect fair and reasonable relief, not windfall gains.
