SC: Studying in a Government Institute Does Not Create an Automatic Right to a Government Job - (09 Jan 2026)

Supreme Court has ruled that admission to and completion of a course in a government institution does not by itself give rise to a legitimate expectation of automatic appointment to a government post, especially where there has been a change in policy or the applicable recruitment framework.
