Supreme Court: Only Courts May Condone Delay; Tribunals Lack Power Unless Statute Allows - (08 Jan 2026)

LIMITATION

Supreme Court reaffirmed that the Company Law Board or Tribunal has no power to condone delay in filing appeals unless such authority is expressly conferred by statute, emphasizing that condonation of delay lies with courts and not quasi-judicial bodies unless specifically provided.
