Delhi HC Absence of Formal Arrest under Section 311A Crpc Does Not Bar Giving Handwriting Samples - (06 Jan 2026)

Delhi High Court held that under Section 311A CrPC, the absence of a formal arrest does not prevent a Magistrate from directing a person to provide handwriting or signature samples for investigation or proceedings, clarifying the scope of the proviso in the section.
