J&K High Court: Courts Must Not Halt Corruption Probes, Refuses to Quash FIR - (30 Dec 2025)

CRIMINAL

Reiterating that courts should not halt corruption probes at the threshold, the J&K HC dismissed a plea to quash an FIR against a former Assistant Regional Transport Officer, holding that the record shows sufficient grounds to suspect offences and no basis to invoke inherent jurisdiction.
