J&K&L HC: Matrimonial Remedies May Overlap, But Cruelty Claims Cannot be Selectively Invoked - (29 Dec 2025)

Examining the interface of matrimonial remedies, J&K&L HC held that strict segregation of proceedings under Section 125 CrPC, the DV Act and Section 498-A IPC is not always required, as allegations of domestic violence, dowry demands, mental cruelty and physical harassment are often intertwined.
