Supreme Court: Passport Renewal Cannot be Denied if Trial Court Has Permitted it Despite Pending Case - (22 Dec 2025)

Supreme Court held that the mere pendency of criminal proceedings cannot justify an indefinite denial of passport renewal, especially when the competent criminal court has allowed renewal while retaining authority to regulate or restrict the individual’s foreign travel.
