SC Acknowledges Child Trafficking as a Grave Reality and Issues Guidelines to Assess Victim Evidence - (19 Dec 2025)

CRIMINAL

SC, describing child trafficking and commercial sexual exploitation as a “deeply disturbing reality” in India, issued detailed guidelines for courts to sensitively and realistically evaluate the evidence of minor victims, warning against dismissing their testimony over minor inconsistencies.
