Supreme Court: Compassionate Appointees Cannot Later Claim Entitlement to a Higher Post - (15 Dec 2025)

SERVICE

Supreme Court held that a person who accepts a compassionate appointment cannot later seek a higher post, stressing that such appointments are exceptions meant for immediate relief and that once the offered post is accepted, the appointee is bound by the scheme’s terms.
