SC: Employees Who Resign or Retire After Five Years of Service Are Entitled to Receive Gratuity - (10 Dec 2025)

SERVICE

Supreme Court has held that employees who resign or take voluntary retirement are entitled to gratuity under the Payment of Gratuity Act, 1972, provided they have completed at least five years of continuous service with their employer.
