NCLT: Damages from Contractual Disputes Cannot Form Basis for Initiating Insolvency Proceedings - (05 Dec 2025)

INSOLVENCY

NCLT Mumbai held that claims for liquidated or unliquidated damages, being contractual in nature, cannot trigger insolvency proceedings, dismissing Goodrich Logistics Pvt Ltd’s CIRP plea against Transrail Lighting Ltd.
