Kerala HC: Arrest is Illegal if Accused isn’t Produced in 24 Hours and Rearrest From Prison is Barred - (25 Nov 2025)

Kerala High Court, invoking its inherent powers under Section 528 BNSS, set aside a remand order and granted bail to an NDPS accused, holding that his arrest was invalid since he was not produced before the magistrate within the 24 hours required under Article 22(2) of the Constitution.
