Supreme Court: Treating Every Sour Relationship as Rape Undermines the Seriousness of the Offence - (25 Nov 2025)

CRIMINAL

Supreme Court quashed a rape case against an advocate, holding that the relationship was consensual and not based on any false promise of marriage, and observed that the woman’s allegations arose only after the relationship soured, making the charge unsustainable.
