SC: Interest Rate Disputes Doesn't Fall under Public Policy to Set Aside Arbitration Awards - (20 Nov 2025)

ARBITRATION

Supreme Court upheld a 24% interest rate in an arbitral award, ruling that the rate, agreed upon in a commercial loan, did not violate Indian public policy and therefore could not be set aside, reinforcing that interest rate disputes alone do not constitute a public policy violation.
