Supreme Court Bans Mining in and Around National Parks and Wildlife Sanctuaries - (13 Nov 2025)

ENVIRONMENT

Supreme Court reaffirmed that no mining shall be allowed within national parks, wildlife sanctuaries, or one kilometer around them. Extending its April 2023 order in the Goa Foundation case, the Court applied the mining ban uniformly across the entire country.
