SC: No Entitlement to Job as Compensation for Land Acquired under Land Acquisition Act - (10 Nov 2025)

LAND ACQUISITION

Supreme Court dismissed a plea seeking employment in lieu of land acquired in 1998, holding that the Land Acquisition Act, 1894, does not confer such a right and that payment of compensation fulfills the State’s obligation.
