Supreme Court Expresses Surprise That High Court Did Not Quash Police Summons to Advocate in Case - (03 Nov 2025)

CRIMINAL

In a Suo Motu case on arbitrary summoning of advocates, the Supreme Court criticized the Gujarat High Court for refusing to hear an advocate's plea, stating that as a Constitutional Court, the High Court’s refusal amounted to an abdication of its inherent powers.
