Jharkhand HC: Fresh Anticipatory Bail Plea Not Maintainable After Earlier Rejection under S. 482 BNSS - (13 Oct 2025)

CRIMINAL

Jharkhand High Court clarified that Section 482 of the BNSS, which governs anticipatory bail, has limited scope and does not allow revival of "reasons to believe" or fear of arrest once an earlier plea is rejected, unlike Section 483 which provides broader scope for regular bail.
