SC: HC Judge Can't Deny Referring Bail Plea to Previous Judge Due to Roster Change - (30 Sep 2025)

CRIMINAL

Supreme Court recently criticised a High Court judge for refusing to refer a regular bail plea to the same judge who had earlier heard the anticipatory bail in the same FIR, merely because of a change in the judicial roster. The SC held this approach improper and against judicial discipline.
