Delhi High Court: Denying Parole for Parent’s Last Rites Violates Article 21 - (30 Sep 2025)

CONSTITUTION

Delhi High Court observed that performing the last rites of a parent is a vital religious and moral duty, and denying parole for this purpose violates a convict’s right to dignity, which is protected under Article 21 of the Indian Constitution.
