Bombay HC: Marriage, Childbirth Not Grounds to Quash POCSO FIR - (29 Sep 2025)

CRIMINAL

Bombay HC held that if a minor girl falls in love, marries an adult man, and bears his child, it does not negate offences under the Protection Of Children from Sexual Offences Act, as consent of a minor is legally irrelevant and the statutory protections cannot be bypassed by such circumstances.
