Punjab HC Fines Police Rs. 1 Lakh for 15-Year Delay in Filing Cancellation Report in Criminal Case - (23 Sep 2025)

CRIMINAL

Punjab and Haryana High Court criticized Punjab Police for a 15-year unjustified delay in filing a cancellation report in a criminal case. The court expressed serious concern over the agency’s laxity and imposed a cost of Rs. 1 lakh on the Punjab Government for the delay.
