Supreme Court: High Court Cannot Recall Dismissal Order to Grant Anticipatory Bail Later - (19 Sep 2025)

CRIMINAL

Supreme Court set aside the Punjab & Haryana High Court's order that recalled a rejected anticipatory bail plea and granted bail. The Court held that once an anticipatory bail plea is dismissed by a detailed order, the proceedings are concluded and cannot be revived by recall or restoration.
