SC Dismissed MP Police Plea against Quashing FIR Alleging Marital Cruelty against MLA Umang Singhar - (16 Sep 2025)

CRIMINAL

Supreme Court refused to interfere with the Madhya Pradesh High Court’s order quashing the FIR against Congress MLA Umang Singhar for alleged domestic cruelty, noting the FIR was filed after Singhar initiated cases against his wife. The bench dismissed the State’s challenge to this order.
