SC Criticizes Punjab National Bank for Settling With Borrower Post-Auction of Secured Property - (12 Sep 2025)

Supreme Court reprimanded Punjab National Bank for settling with a borrower after auctioning the property. The bench directed PNB to issue the final sale certificate to the auction purchaser and urged the bank to adopt a policy to prevent such issues in future, ensuring fairness to auction buyers.
